I can see OC putting out a fairly strong team tomorrow... I'm with Owen on this, that winning breeds a winning mentality... so can't see the reserves playing tomorrow...

2-0 Muamba and Wheater...

I think Coyle will play a similar team to the game against Macclesfield. I think he'll go 442 with Davies and Klasnic up top and we'll lose.

We'll get overrun in midfield and Swansea will pass us off the park.

Anyone know if Ream will feature tomorrow? Has his international clearance come through?

He won't be involved, according to the BN. His permit is done and dusted but he's apparently returned to New York to gather his wife and belongings.

Bolton News also says Coyle has said he won't be playing a weakened side.

He's currently in NJ with his wife. Good for him, he'll be busy enough when he gets here. Hope they have a good time.

Good solid win. Created loads, missed loads 0 very nearly cost us. But the better side won.

Highlight was a 20 minute appearance from Kevin Davies, who showed up and played like the years had rolled from him. Great display, thrilled to see it.

Highlights:

Joe Riley - He's looking better each game.
Kevin Davies - Looked more of his former self in his 20 minute cameo
Chris Eagles - tricky from start to finish - still needs to improve his final ball and his shooting.
Darren Pratley - Easily his best game for us, still awful though. Should've had a hat-trick.
Chances - lots of chances created whilst keeping theirs to a minimum.

Worries:

Boyata - looked like a fish out of water in his 'favoured' position.
Wheater - Made Luke Moore's finish even simpler by letting him run free - total lack of pace and composure.
Ngog - needs to be a bit more composed when 1on1 he let an easy chance go begging as he didn't realise how much time he actually had. Besides that, he toiled to no avail until his substitution.

All in all - decent game and a win. Requirements met. With ease.
"Some people believe football is a matter of life and death,
I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that."

He's a very very good player but to play for England he has to find a way past Walker, Richards and Glen Johnson as well as Phil Jones and Smalling. That's no easy task and he needs more than cup games to show his worth

Is he?

I thought we did well today and should have won by more than one goal. Our finishing was poor though, particularly in the first half. We should have been two goals up by the time Swansea got going.

Speaking of Swansea, I know it wasn't their first choice team, but they were shocking at the back, escpecially with regards to distribution. Sometimes, you just need to twat it and don't try to be too cute or too clever.

Glad we're in the hat for the next round though and have a bit of momentum for the Arsenal game.

His quality of pass for a fullback is outstanding. He has real class. Phil jones is a centre back, Johnson and walker can't actually defend, Richards is good but has the touch of a baby elephant and I don't rate smalling, so I think he has an excellent chance.
He should play every game, not to improve him, but because he is better that steinssen. I just hope they have given him a 5 year deal and not the usual 3 year one, where we lose him two and a half years in for bugger all.

I really enjoyed going to the match today! It was a proper family affair with me, the fella, our 2 little uns and our 2 overseas houseguests all in attendance.

First half was a bit frustrating with so many missed chances and the familiar feeling that we were going let the game slip away. Sods law...I missed our first goal taking the youngest sprog to the loo!

Second half was better but still missing good chances! Overall I'm feeling more positive lately about our prospects this season.

Joe Riley looks promising but not the finished article and it was great to see SKD playing well.

We are slowly converting our guests (who declared themselves Arsenal and City fans) into Wanderers fans!

Haven't seen the game, but great result.

Glad to hear KD played well...and is now cup-tied and maybe not as attractive an option for prospective buyers?

Where is Klasnic? Are we in the midst of secretly selling him?

Yes that's what I was thinking. Where indeed is Mr. Klasnic? I've not seen any mention of any injury in the Bolton Morning News. And it doesn't say he's injured on Fantasy League! So where is he?

It was good to beat Swansea Reserves but the game should have been wrapped up before half time withe chances we created. I'm getting used to coming away from the Reebok feeling happy with a win. That's 3 on the trot! Can we make it 4 on Wednesday? I can't remember Arsenal losing 4 consecutive league games but we've beat. Liverpool (who incidentally have beaten the top two since then) so who knows?

Come on you White Men!

Saying Tottenham fans are glory hunting might be a bit harsh...

I think we're detracting from the subject slightly, the fact is we played well again today, good closing down right from the front and alot of hard work throughout th team. Performances like these are what we've been lacking this year and we're now starting to see that sort of form we had last year with even more grit perhaps...

There were numerous positives to take from the game, them being a high fitness and intensity level, some good performances from Eagles, Mavies and Riley in particular. A good cameo from SKD, and we're showing we have strength in dept available in the squad.

There were some negatives unfortunately, like the fact that we failed to keep a clean sheet yet again and Wheater will always get booked or sent-off in every single game, but surely has he settles he can improve how he reads the situations around him and with a stable CB partner he can get much better.

If we can keep performing like this and even improving on them then not only will we stay up but we could go on a good cup run and if you whisper it you can almost suggest another trip down to Wembley.

I've just thought of another positive.... Dr.Positive has been very quiet recently, it appears our 'masterplan' is working. I'm not sure what that is but it's going well
